Testers vs. retail units: what belongs on the counter
A tester sells the bottle behind the glass. How many to carry, when to rotate them, and why they never go back into retail stock.

Full sizes carry the margin. Testers, minis and sets sell the full sizes. We stock all six for the same twenty houses, so one order can fill the whole display.

Extraits and eaux de parfum from Parfums de Marly, Initio, Nishane, Tiziana Terenzi and five more houses — the bottles that sit behind the glass at $150 to $450.
Sizes 50–125 ml · sold by the unit
Armani, Chloé, Narciso Rodriguez, Issey Miyake, Montblanc and six more — the names gift shoppers ask for by name, every week of the year.

Plain-box or unboxed units, marked as testers on the pick ticket and on the invoice. For the counter, never for resale as new.

No04Who we stock
Most accounts reorder every two to four weeks, a dozen units at a time. The minimums, the packing and the paperwork are set up for that rhythm.

Niche depth without nine importer accounts. One order covers Nishane, Initio and Parfums de Marly.
A designer wall that turns over: the 30 and 50 ml sizes customers buy for themselves, at a cost that leaves room on the shelf price.
Line-item invoices with your business name, UPC and quantity on every SKU — the documents marketplaces ask for on gated brands.
A six-bottle retail shelf beside the chair. Testers for the station, sealed units for the bag.
Gift sets and 50 ml designer sizes for November and December, booked in August so they arrive before the rush.
Designer fragrance for the locked case at the front, with testers invoiced separately and kept off the retail count.
No05Sealed stock
Fragrance is one of the most counterfeited categories in beauty, so the checks happen twice: when a lot arrives, and when your order is picked.

Retail boxes leave in the house's own wrap. A box with torn cellophane comes out of retail stock and is sold as a tester, marked as one — or not sold.
From every inbound lot we open sample units and compare the code on the carton with the code on the glass. A lot that doesn't match goes back to the supplier.
Perfume doesn't expire, but some buyers care about age. Any batch produced more than 36 months ago carries a flag on the price list, so you choose.
Invoices list UPC, size, concentration and quantity on separate lines, with testers on lines of their own — enough to match each unit on your shelf to a purchase.
Bottles ship in divided or bubble-wrapped cartons with void fill on every side. Breakage reported within 48 hours is credited or replaced.
The price list shows stock counted on Monday. If a line is short when we pick, you hear it from us before your card is charged — never as a different bottle in the box.
We would rather ship 11 of 12 and tell you why than ship 12 and guess.
No06Trade terms
Minimums are counted in units, because a $40 eau de toilette and a $260 extrait take the same space in a carton. Volume pricing starts at 150 units a month and sits in its own column on the price list.
Any mix of houses, sizes and formats. Testers, minis and gift sets count toward it.
Any mix, any week. No per-house or per-SKU minimum on full sizes.
Orders of 48 units or more ship free to the 48 contiguous states. Below that, ground freight at our carrier cost.
Orders paid by 1:45 PM Central, Monday to Friday, leave Earle the same afternoon.
Send photos of the carton and the unit within 48 hours of delivery. Credit or replacement on your next order.
ACH or card before dispatch for the first six months, then Net 15 for accounts that have paid on time.
No07Freight & transit
Earle sits on US-64 in eastern Arkansas. UPS and FedEx Ground collect from our dock every weekday afternoon, so most of the South and Midwest has its cartons within two business days.

| Zone | Where | Ground |
|---|---|---|
| Mid-South | Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Missouri | 1 day |
| South & Midwest | Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Illinois | 1–2 days |
| Southeast | Georgia, Florida, the Carolinas, Ohio, Michigan, Kansas | 2–3 days |
| Northeast | New York to Maine, Colorado, Utah, Arizona | 3–4 days |
| West Coast | California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada | 4–5 days |
Business days after pickup, UPS / FedEx Ground; typical, not guaranteed. Perfume travels as a regulated flammable liquid, so every order goes by ground — no air services. Alaska and Hawaii are quoted on request.
No08Ordering
No portal to learn. Price lists arrive as a spreadsheet, orders come back by email, and a person in Earle answers both.
Send your EIN and resale certificate through the application. Applications in by 3 PM CT are reviewed by the next business day.
Next business dayA spreadsheet of all 1,380 SKUs with UPC, unit price and stock on hand, recounted every Monday.
Same business dayType quantities into the list or email a PO. We confirm every line against the shelf and send a total.
24 units, any mixPaid by 1:45 PM CT, it leaves Earle that afternoon with a tracking number on every carton.
1:45 PM CT cutoffTwenty fields, about five minutes. Have your EIN and resale certificate number to hand.
Because a $40 designer eau de toilette and a $260 niche extrait take the same space in a carton and the same minute to pick. Twenty-four units is the same work for us whatever is in the box, so it is the same rule for you.
Reorders are 12 units. Orders of 48 units or more ship free.
Yes. Any of the twenty houses, any sizes, plus testers, minis and gift sets, all count toward the same 24 units. There is no per-house minimum.
Retail units ship in the house's own cellophane, and we compare carton codes with bottle codes on samples from every inbound lot. Invoices list UPC and quantity per line.
If something on a delivery doesn't look right to you, write to us within 48 hours and we take it back.
Yes — for most designer houses and several niche ones, up to one tester per six retail units of the same SKU. Testers are invoiced as testers and are not for resale as new.
We don't backorder and we don't substitute. A short line comes off the total and you are told before payment is taken. The price list is recounted every Monday, so shorts are rare.
Our standard service covers the 48 contiguous states. Perfume ships as a regulated flammable liquid (UN1266), which rules out air services, so Alaska and Hawaii are quoted case by case. We don't export.
Email photos of the carton and the unit within 48 hours of delivery. We credit the unit or replace it on your next order — your choice.
